Because this is a time when instructors are organizing their courses for the next term, Professor David R. Austing thought it might be good to remind folks on the Oklahoma State TR listserv of the availability of the 23 Recreation Therapy Videos produced by Indiana University through a federal grant.

Dave states:

"All the videos are now available at no cost from Indiana University Library's Scholarworks via streaming. To view the videos you can Google Recreation Therapy Videos or go to https://scholarworks.iu.edu/dspace/handle/2022/3378

Some of my favorite videos are:
"To Serve a Purpose" (An introduction to RT/TR)
"Professional Ethics"
"Clinical Supervision"
"Nonverbal Communication"
"History of Therapeutic Recreation, Parts I, II, III"

By the way, in reviewing several of the RTV videos I noticed that Professor Don Rogers (now Chair at Indiana State University) appeared as a "star" in several of them. Thanks, Don!

In addition to use in RT classes, some have found the RTV videos to be useful in in-service training."

Enjoy!
